In the Punjab Assembly, CM Captain Amarinder Singh has attacked the Akali Dal. Amarinder Singh surrounded the Akali Dal and said that 'what is happening in India is not good for the country'. He said that people can see and understand and are protesting on their own without any provocation. Appealing to the Akalis to rise above politics, he said that they should think about their country before casting their vote.

Regarding the current situation, the Chief Minister asked, 'Where will those people go whom you believe are non-citizens ? Where will the 18 lakh people who have been declared illegal in Assam go, if they are refused refuge from any other country? Has anyone thought about this? Has the Home Minister ever wondered what to do with the so-called non-illegal people? Where will the poor people get the birth certificate? He cited the example of Indian Army soldier Abdul Hameed, who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra posthumously in 1965 for the bravery shown in the India-Pakistan war.

In his statement, he said that there were a large number of Muslims in Andaman's cellular jail. Capton said, "Why are the Muslims excluded?" Why did the Center not include Jews in the CAA? He said that India had a Jewish governor as General Jacob, who fought the 1971 war for the country. The Chief Minister said that those responsible for this situation should be ashamed of themselves. He lashed out at the Akali Dal and said that he had supported this bill in Parliament and then started to express different ideas to promote his royal agenda. He told the Akalis, 'You should be ashamed and you will regret one day.'
