Amritsar: The Punjab Congress seems to be once again in political turmoil.  A meeting between Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee President Navjot Singh Sidhu and Chief Minister Charanjeet Singh Channi in the presence of Congress leader Harish Chaudhary is being reported to have led to a major closed-door clash between the two leaders.

Sources say CM Channi bluntly asked Sidhu to become CM and perform in the remaining tenure. After former Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh, Navjot Singh Sidhu is now clashing with new Chief Minister Charanjit Channi. A meeting between Navjot Singh Sidhu and CM Charanjeet Channi on Sunday is coming to light about the major developments. According to sources, seeing Sidhu's attitude during a closed-door meeting on Sunday, Channi even said to resign as chief minister.

CM Charanjit Singh Channi said in the meeting that "I want to step down as CM. Navjot Sidhu becomes CM and perform and show in 2 months." The meeting was also attended by Congress Observer Harish Chaudhary, Rahul Gandhi's special lying Krishna Allavaru and Punjab Cabinet Minister Pargat Singh.
