Punjab govt launches Ghar Ghar Nigrani app to prevent coronavirus

Chandigarh: Captain Amarinder government on Friday launched a mobile app to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which is aimed at door-to-door surveillance. The name of this app is 'Ghar Ghar Surveillance', which was launched by CM Amarinder Singh through video conference. CM Amarinder gave information about this initiative of the Health Department, which includes ASHA workers and community volunteers, with whose help the corona virus will be detected at the beginning.

Anurag Agarwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, says that under this campaign, people over 30 years of age will be surveyed in rural and urban areas of Punjab, including those who will be below 30 years of age. And who have multiple diseases or influenza-like illness simultaneously. Anurag Aggarwal further said that the first week of the survey, the complete medical condition of the person will be known. Complete information about his diseases will be taken.

This will help the state to develop a very important database to formulate its corona prevention strategy. According to Isha Kalia, health-cum-test in-charge and special secretary of Coronavirus, this user friendly app was developed and designed by the Health Department itself. Whose field test was done in Patiala and Mansa.
