Balrampur: Central and state governments have twice been declared Naxal-free in Chhattisgarh's Surguja division. But in Balrampur district of the same Naxal-free division, Naxalites set fire to vehicles engaged in road construction on Monday. Due to this, seven vehicles were burnt down with a dumper, mixer machine. The same incident has taken place in the Samri area near the Chhattisgarh-Jharkhand border. Seeing the matter, the police force has been sent to the spot.

Road construction work is going on under the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yojana, about 5 km from Bandarchua Camp in the Samari area. In which at around 10.30 am on Monday morning, Naxalites set fire to seven vehicles. Due to which three vaulters and other mixing machines along with a mixer machine were destroyed. It is being told on this matter that some armed people had reached there. First, those people set the vehicles on fire after removing the workers from there.

The old mountain in the Samaritan region is considered the most protected area of the Maoists. The same government has declared the Sarguja division completely Naxal-free in 2019 and 2017. In view of this, road construction work was being done there, but on the third day Naxalites carried out this incident. SP TR Koshima is now saying that this area is not Naxal-free.

After being declared Naxal-free last year, work was going on under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in Samarri area in the year. Even then, the Naxalites kidnapped the engineer and a contractor employee. The work was stopped after that. This area has been declared Naxal-free again and has taken out tender again.
