Five persons were detained by Noida police on Friday for running a fraud or job racket that offered people top jobs and positions in international corporations.

The five suspects, named Vishal, Vijay Singh, Akshay, Sajid Khan, and Mohit Sharma, were allegedly apprehended in a building in Sector 3 where they were reportedly running the racket, according to the police.
According to media reports, most of these accused are from Ghaziabad, but they have been working out of Noida. Meanwhile, 13 PCs, 2 laptops, 17 SIM cards, 17 walkie-talkies, and a POS system were confiscated from them by the police.

According to Sector 20 police officials, the accused used a website called 'shine' to purchase data on registered mobile phone users, after which they simply prepared lucrative fake job offers in MNCs across India and abroad to attract people and send to those who had signed up on the job search portal.

The accused had even divided the data and the list of numbers among themselves in order to approach as many people as possible. Furthermore, these scammers demanded Rs 1,900 for registration and Rs 4,500 for document preparation. They used to be untraceable once the money was sent to their bank accounts.

Two suspects are on the run. The police in Noida are still investigating the case since two additional persons who are believed to be engaged in the fraud are presently on the run, according to the police.
