The Taliban's support in Kerala is growing rapidly. This has been revealed by an internal document of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) of Kerala. These documents were distributed by the CPM among their party cadres. According to this document, Jamaat-e-Islami hind is inciting communal sentiments. It is claimed that Jamaat is using its social media and publications to enhance its agenda in Kerala. The Jamaat's intention is to establish the Islamic Raj.

The CPM documents claim that it is spreading its views to the Muslim community as well as other religions. Not only that, but it is also claimed that there is an attempt to invoke Christians against Muslims. According to the 2011 census, 26 percent of Kerala's population is Muslims. The CPM document says, "It is a matter of serious concern that Taliban support is being negotiated in Kerala. However, it is being condemned all over the world, including the Muslim community.'

It claims that there is an attempt to lure educated women to this ideology. CPM has blamed the Jamaat for this. At the same time, they have spoken to their organizations and workers to unite against communalism. The documents also state that communal sentiments among minorities are increasing due to the activities of the Sangh Parivar.
