New Delhi: Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi attacked Union Minister Piyush Goyal for his remarks on Abhijeet Banerjee, who was elected for the Nobel Prize, saying that 'these bigots are blind in hatred' and they are aware of this is not what a professional person is. In fact, the Union Minister, in a conversation with the press in Pune, called Banerjee a 'left-leaning' man.

After this, Banerjee had said to a TV channel on Saturday that 'the Commerce Minister is questioning my professional efficiency. Gandhi tweeted, "Dear Mr Banerjee, These bigots are blinded by hatred and have no idea what a professional is. You cannot explain it to them, even if you tried for a decade,” Mr. Gandhi said in a tweet tagging the media report on Mr. Banerjee’s response to Mr. Goyal’s comments on him."

Let us tell you that on Friday, Goyal also said thatMr. Goyal on Friday had also said Mr. Banerjee’s suggestion of a minimum income scheme was rejected by Indian voters and there was no need to “accept what he thinks”.
