In Andhra Pradesh, 12 people have lost their lives and several others are missing due to heavy rains and floods due to low-pressure areas in the YSR Kadapa district. Police said, three buses of APSRTC have been trapped in floodwater in Nandluru, Mandvalli and Akapadu villages of the Rajampet division of the district. Flood water was flooded on the roads due to the collapse of Cheruvu reservoir in which these buses were also submerged. Heavy rains in Tamil Nadu and Kerala have also put people's lives in trouble. The Sabarimala temple has also been closed for a day as people have lost their lives due to the falling of houses. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has spoken to CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy in view of the bad situation in Andhra Pradesh.

PM Modi speaks to Andhra Pradesh CM: PM Narendra Modi spoke to CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy in view of the heavy rains and floods in some parts of Andhra Pradesh and assured him of all possible central assistance. It is learnt that at least three people were killed while some people are feared to be swept away in a flash flood in the Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh on Friday. "Spoke to Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy in view of the situation arising out of heavy rains in parts of the state," the PM said on Twitter. Assures all possible central assistance''. 

He wished everyone good health and safety. Heavy rains due to the low-pressure areas in the Bay of Bengal have caused some rivers in the state to overflow and caused the worst floods in many years in Chittoor and Kadapa. National Disaster Response Team and State Disaster Response Force teams are engaged in rescue and relief operations.
