New Delhi: The Air Quality Index (AQI) in the country's capital Delhi has been recorded in the very poor category on Tuesday (November 8) morning for the fourth consecutive day. At the same time, experts of the Meteorological Department have expressed the forecast of light rain or drizzle during the day. According to the data shared by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the minimum temperature recorded was 17.2 degrees Celsius, which is three degrees above the average for this season. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the 24-hour average AQI in Delhi was recorded at 348 at around 9:15 am on Tuesday. The AQI was 339 on Sunday, which increased to 354 on Monday. On Saturday it was 381.

AQI between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 to 100 satisfactory, 101 to 200 moderate, 201 to 300 poor, 301 to 400 very poor, and 401 to 500 severe. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Monday was 33 degrees Celsius, which is the highest since 2008 in the month of November. On Monday (November 7), where the maximum temperature was recorded four degrees above the average, the minimum temperature was 17 degrees Celsius. The Meteorological Department has said that the relative humidity at 8.30 am was 92 per cent.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a partly cloudy day with the possibility of light rain or drizzle. The maximum temperature is expected to be around 32 degree Celsius. At the same time, due to increasing pollution, the Arvind Kejriwal government of Delhi has given instructions to reopen primary classes from November 9, in view of the improvement in the air quality of the city in the last two days. Along with this, it has been decided to cancel the order of 50 per cent of its employees to work from home (WFH).
