Jaipur: The Rajasthan Congress has also seen a dent in the presidential election. NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu got 75 votes from Rajasthan. In which 70 MLAs of BJP and three MLAs of Hanuman Beniwal's RLP had voted in favour of Murmu. Apart from this, two other votes were also received by Murmu. In such a situation, it is believed that these two votes have been given by the Congress MLAs.

According to the results of the presidential election, 75 MLAs from Rajasthan voted for NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu. While, 123 votes went to Yashwant Sinha, the joint candidate of the Congress and the opposition parties. In Rajasthan, 198 out of a total of 200 MLAs had exercised their franchise for the presidential election. Congress MLA Bhanwarlal Sharma and BTP MLA Rajkumar Roat did not turn up to cast their votes. Thus, Congress and its supporting MLAs cast a total of 124 votes. While Congress was claiming to have 126 MLAs, that is 126 votes. Shobharani Kushwaha was suspended from the BJP for cross-voting in favour of Congress in the presidential election. In fact, Shobharani Kushwaha, MLA from Bari in Dholpur,  had reached the assembly to cast her vote along with Congress MLA Mahendra Chaudhary.

He is believed to have voted for Yashwant Sinha. Even if this did not happen, one vote from the Congress-backed camp went in favour of the NDA candidate through cross-voting and, on the other hand, apart from BJP and RLP MLAs, the votes of two other MLAs were also in favour of Draupadi Murmu.
