Lucknow: Om Prakash Rajbhar, national president of Suhaldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), has been provided Y category security by the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh. Political pundits are seeing this as a reward for supporting NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu in the presidential election. Rajbhar is also in talks these days for his constant taunts on Samajwadi Party (SP) national president Akhilesh Yadav.

The Yogi government has given Y category security to Om Prakash Rajbhar for security reasons. On Thursday evening, on the directions of the government, Ghazipur police provided him security. With this decision of the government, there is a lot of discussion going on in the political corridors. OP Rajbhar, who has been making constant statements against SP President Akhilesh, got the result of the presidential election after voting. In UP, the opposition was cross-voted in the presidential election. Rajbhar had already announced that he would support Draupadi Murmu at the behest of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. At the same time, Shivpal Singh Yadav also voted for Draupadi Murmu. Four opposition MLAs had cross-voted, while the votes of three MLAs were declared invalid.

In the 2022 UP assembly elections, Om Prakash Rajbhar and SP fought in an alliance. His party SBSP had fielded candidates on 17 seats, out of which it won 6 seats. Om Prakash Rajbhar himself has also won from Jehoorabad seat. But ever since the Yogi government's resounding comeback in 2022, Om Prakash Rajbhar has been attacking SP chief Akhilesh Yadav.
