Jhalawar: The villagers of Mashalpura village under the Gagron forest range of Jhalawar district of Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve, located in Rajasthan, are living in a shadow of fear these days. The reason for this is that one of the tiger released in Mukundara Tiger Reserve is walking near Mashalpura village. Due to which it has become difficult for the villagers to live.

Villagers are neither able to go to their fields nor protect their animals. The situation has reached such a point that the villagers are now fearing their lives too. The government has neither been able to displace villagers of Mashalpura and other villages in the region, nor have any wire fencing or any other steps taken to protect them. On Monday, villagers submitted a memorandum to the district administration seeking to resolve these problems.

The villagers of the Mashalpura area of the Jhalawar district of Mukundara Hills Tiger Reserve have expressed their anguish that tigers are taking cattle from the village. As the evening progresses, there is silence in the entire area and the villagers are forced to be imprisoned in their homes. MT3 and MT4 tigers of Mukundara Tiger Reserve have maintained their territory near the Mashalpura area.
