Jaipur: Eight people, including two children, were killed in a tragic road accident in Rajasthan's Barmer district last night. Two people were also seriously injured. The incident, which took place after a collision between the truck and the SUV car, was so horrific that the bodies of the deceased were badly trapped in the crashed car. But 8 kilometres before the wedding venue, the speeding truck and the SUV car collided in a tremendous way. 

Barati was badly trapped in the car and the truck overturned uncontrollably. Six people died on the spot. Four people were taken to the hospital, out of which 2 people succumbed to their injuries during treatment. According to the police, members of the same family were travelling in a car to join the procession. In the meantime, the SUV car came under the influence of a truck near Bata village of Gudamalani. During this time, the baraatis, who were going in another vehicle behind, tried to pull out the people trapped in the accident car. The collision was so severe that the car hit the front from the front. Those who were badly trapped in it were moaning, while some had died there.

On being informed about the accident, senior officials of the police administration of Barmer rushed to the spot. After a lot of hard work, all the injured were pulled out one after the other and rushed to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased were also removed and a post-mortem was conducted and later handed over to the family members. As soon as the family, immersed in the joys of marriage, got the news of this painful accident, the whole happiness turned into mourning. There was an uproar among the women at home. All the dead were aged between 12 and 40 years.
