Rajnath Singh handed over 'Multi-Mode Hand Grenade' to Indian Army, know its specialty

New Delhi: Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has handed over the first-ever multi-mode hand grenade prepared by Economic Explosive Limited to the Indian Army with the help of Terminal Ballistic Research Laboratory in DRDO. Rajnath Singh has termed it as a great example of public and private sector partnership.

Features of this grenade:-

1- This grenade is not only extremely deadly but also safe and reliable in terms of use.
2- This grenade works both offensively and defensively.
3- Its accuracy is more than 99 per cent.
4- More than 1 lakh multi-mode hand grenades have been manufactured in the last five months.

Speaking on the occasion, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh said that good infrastructure is the first and most important thing for any industry. In view of this, we have set up two defence corridors in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. These corridors will not only meet domestic needs in the near future but will also bring India to the world as an export country.  Rajnath Singh said that like multi-mode grenades, there are many products like 'Arjun-Mark-1' and 'Unmanned Surface Vehicle' which our industry is completely producing indigenously. These are just some of the recent measures that have been taken by the Government to meet the goal of a self-reliant India. There is a long history of these measures and efforts that the Government has taken to achieve the goal of a self-reliant India.
