NEW DELHI: The world now recognises India as a military force to be reckoned with, saidUnion Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, as the Indian government has contributed to the creation of "Atmanirbhar Bharat" (Self-reliant India), which is based on the "Prosperity through Industry" teachings of the Sree Narayan Guru of Sivgiri Mutt, Kerala.

He was speaking to the saints and wise elders gathering at the Sivagiri Mutt on Friday to mark the "Tirthdanam Mahotasav."
"His message of "Prosperity through Industry" served as the inspiration for the Indian government's determination to create an independent nation. Because of its grit and initiative, India has one of the largest economies in the world today. Today, India is among the top five economies in the world, according to Singh, who also noted that Shri Narayana Guru's foresight led to his ordering Sivagiri Mutt to educate the general public on issues like education, hygiene, and other issues. 

Our government has also given these issues considerable attention, thanks to Guruji's grace and the blessings of venerated saints." Invoking the idea of the "Soldier Saint," Singh claimed that just as the holy troops were guarding the nation's culture, he was securing the country's borders on the strength of the soldiers' bravery and valour.

"You are defending the nation's soul if we are defending the nation's physical structure. A nation may only endure into eternity if both its body and soul are secure. I commend you for doing this." Self-reliance has always been ingrained in Indian culture, he said "Through his teachings, Arayan Guruji disseminated the idea of self-reliance, and Sivagiri Mutt is still fighting to carry it on today. 

In addition to supporting modernization, Guruji advised for keeping India's traditional culture in harmony with modernity, which is still important today. India's emergence as one of the major economies in the world as a result of its hard work and initiative has confirmed it "Said Singh.

Paying his tribute to the sacred land of Kerala that has produced great saints,  philosophers, and poets who not only instilled lofty ideals and values in the minds of ordinary people but also brought the entire country together. Acharya Shankara, who was born in the small village of Kaladi, travelled throughout India and brought about a cultural integration that was unheard of in itself, he said.

"The idea of the oneness of the entire world, which is the foundation stone of his Advaitaad philosophy, is still ingrained in the nation's soul, encouraging all segments of society to continue to be united and equal. Unquestionably, one such name in the path of enhancing cultural unification is Narayana Guru ji " he added.
