New Delhi: It has been eight months since the farmers' movement, but the tussle between farmers and the government has not subsided and the rhetoric is intensifying with every passing day. Now Indian Farmers Union (Bhakiu) leader Rakesh Tikait has again made a big statement. He has emphasized that farmers will hoist the flag in Delhi on August 15.

Talking to the media, Tikait said that no matter what happens, they will hoist the flag in Delhi on Independence Day this day. For this, they are now ready to go by the atmosphere. Tikait has said that if the farmer wants to hoist the flag, does there be no land in any village inside and outside the Border of Delhi where he gets a chance to hoist the flag? Give us 5 yards anywhere, even if it is in Akshardham. Give it elsewhere, we'll go peacefully and then come back.

Tikait further said that when the flag is hoisted in the school, the flag is hoisted in the offices, then the farmers should also have this right. They have made it clear that they want to hoist the flag only and only in Delhi. On the January 26 violence, he emphasized that there was no commotion or any kind of violence. This time too they only want to hoist the flag. He threatened to hoist the flag with the help of drones and the tricolor would be rotated across Delhi if the administration did not give permission.
