In the latest updates, Ram Janmabhoomi Trust has called off the planned procession for January 17, where devotees were slated to catch a glimpse of the new idol of Ram Lalla. Instead, the Trust has opted to organize a visit to the new idol within the Ram Janmabhoomi premises on the same day. This decision was confirmed by a senior Trust official, citing concerns raised by security agencies about managing the expected crowds.

The choice was made following discussions between officials of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, Acharyas of Kashi, and senior administrative authorities. Ayodhya district administration expressed concerns about crowd control as devotees and pilgrims were anticipated to flock in large numbers to witness the 'darshan' of the new idol of Ram Lalla during the procession.

Earlier this week, the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Trust declared the completion of the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, awaiting the Pran Pratistha ceremony set for January 22. The grand event is expected to be attended by several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, witnessing the Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla in the sanctum-sanctorum (garbhagriha).

With less than two weeks until the Ayodhya Ram Temple inauguration, State Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh announced the forthcoming commencement of helicopter services. This move aims to accommodate the anticipated surge in visitors for the ceremony, although the minister did not specify an exact start date. "The services will commence before January 22," he stated.

Simultaneously, Ayodhya gears up for a month-long celebration of Ramkatha, the epic narrative of the Ramayana. Scheduled from January 8th to March 24, the festival will feature esteemed spiritual personalities narrating Lord Rama's life and teachings. The event's objective is to deeply engage devotees in the essence of the Ramayana and offer a platform for spiritual enlightenment.
