Ram Nath Kovind inaugurates Arogya Vanam to publicise importance of Ayurvedic plants

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind inaugurated the newly created "Arogya Vanam" at the President's Estate on Tuesday, in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The Arogya Vanam, which covers 6.6 acres and is shaped like a human sitting in the Yoga Mudra, was built in the shape of a human. In Ayurveda, it consists of nearly 215 herbs and plants utilized for therapeutic purposes," according to an official statement from the Rashtrapati Bhawan.

Water fountains, a Yoga platform, a water channel, a lotus pond, and a vista are among the additional elements of Arogya Vanam, according to the statement.

It went on to say that the concept of Arogya Vanam was born out of a desire to raise awareness about the relevance of Ayurvedic plants and their benefits to humanity. The Arogya Vanam is open to the general public.
