New Delhi: The Lovely Professional University (LPU) has taken action on Professor Gursang Preet Kaur and sacked her from her job after a video insulting Lord Shri Ram went viral. The university has also expressed regret over the incident by issuing a statement on its official Instagram account. He has said in his statement that, 'After the video of the professor insulting Lord Ram, he has been sacked.'

The statement said, "We fully understand that many people have been hurt by the video shared on social media, in which a professor from our university can be heard expressing her personal opinion." We would like to clarify that this is his personal view, which the University does not endorse in any way. Our university is secular, where people of all religions and castes are treated equally with love and respect. Let us inform that in the video going viral on social media, dismissed Professor Gursang Preet Kaur is seen calling Lord Ram a bad person.

She is saying that, 'Ram was a bad person. Ram cheated on a kind hearted person like Ravana. Kaur is telling her students in the video that Ram had hatched a conspiracy to kidnap Sita to kill Ravana and not Ravana, who kidnapped Sita and took her to Lanka. Kaur repeats the same thing over and over again. Kaur instigates her students against Shri Ram, saying, 'Do you know that Ravana was a good hearted person? Whereas Ram was not a good person. Ram was very clever, who cleverly plotted to kidnap Sita and proved Ravana to be a bad person.' The professor then asks the students to reflect on their misgivings.
