Amravati: The High Court adjourned the next hearing on the state government's case challenging the election commissioner's order stopping the implementation of the 'door-to-door ration' scheme. Justice DVSS Somayajulu issued an order on Tuesday, postponing the hearing for the arguments of the Election Commission's lawyer. Advocate General (AG) S Sriram argued on behalf of the government earlier The scheme is not new and the government has started it in 2019.

The government had launched the mobile vehicles required for implementation of the scheme on 21st of last month before the election code came into force. All the details of the implementation of the scheme have been reported to the Election Commission on the directions of the High Court. However, the Election Commissioner objected to the presence of Chief Minister YS Jagan and former Chief Minister YS R. There are also colors that use other political parities on vehicles.

The AG, who reported the high court that the Supreme Court allowed the use of the photos of the Chief Minister and late leaders in the publicity of government schemes, read the verdict. The election commission said that the color shades of mobile vehicles will take a few months. The door-to-door ration ingredient stopping now leads to many problems. The judge heard the AG's arguments and adjourned the hearing for the election commission's lawyer's arguments on Wednesday afternoon.
