Chandigarh: Several people had a narrow escape during a Dussehra event in Haryana's Yamunanagar district on Wednesday. In fact, everyone was trying to go near the effigy of Ravana, but in the meantime, the burning effigy fell down. No one was injured in the incident, police said. Yamunanagar Superintendent of Police Mohit Handa said, "Some people were trying to go near the burning effigy but the policemen present there pushed them back. Asked if the effigy fell on any spectator, he said nothing of that sort happened.''

In fact, on Vijayadashami, the effigy of Ravana was burnt late on Wednesday evening. Along with this, the effigies of Meghnath and Kumbhakaran were also set on fire. At the same time, a large number of people were present on the spot. However, suddenly the burning effigy of Ravana went over the people. Referring to a video clip of the incident being circulated on social media, the SP said, "It may appear that the burning effigy may have fallen on some people, but it did not happen."

By the way, this is not the first incident, but earlier in the year 2018, there was a major accident in Amritsar, Punjab on the day of Vijayadashami. Yes and at that time, the administration had confirmed the death of 61 people in a major train accident so far.
