Dehradun: The news is a relief for people visiting their homes on festivals like Diwali and Chhath. After completion of construction works relating to doubling and interlocking of the railway line on Haridwar-Laksar section, the northern railway is abolishing the ban on the running of trains and restoring the operation of fresh trains on Saturday. Various preparations have been completed by the local authorities for the operation of trains.
Let me tell you that while trains like Dehradun-Old Delhi Mussoorie Express, Dehradun-Amritsar Lahori Express, Dehradun-New Delhi Janshatabdi Express, Dehradun-Kathgodam Janshatabdi Express, Dehradun-Ujjain Express, Dehradun-Indore Express and Dehradun-Saharanpur Mail Express were completely cancelled due to interlocking related construction works on the Haridwar-Laksar section, Dehradun-New Delhi Shatabdi Express from Saharanpur, Dehradun-Muzaffarpur Raptiganga Express, Dehradun-Gorakhpur Raptiganga Express, Dehradun-Prayagraj Link Express trains were being operated from Najibabad and Dehradun-Howrah Upasana Express from Lucknow and Dehradun-Varanasi Janata Express from Moradabad.
After all, on the occasion of Diwali, people had to face problems due to the cancellation of trains and many trains being operated from Moradabad, Najibabad and Saharanpur instead of Dehradun, but now people will not have to face problems. According to railway officials, fresh train operations are being restored from today after the completion of construction works.
