Hyderabad : The number of migrant Indian workers returning from the Gulf countries has risen to thousands due to the corona epidemic. The corona pandemic caused double hardship for these workers. One, they lost their livelihood and were deprived of a salary of lakhs of rupees and the benefits available to them along with it.

Representatives of various organizations came to meet Municipal Administration Minister Katie Ramaru on December 30 and handed over a memorandum in this regard. The memorandum said the Gulf Workers Welfare Board should be set up at a cost of Rs 500 crore.

Immigration rights activist Mandha Bhim Reddy said the awareness campaign would also raise awareness among workers, especially those returning from Gulf countries. Through this campaign, they will be informed on how they can get back the salary they have stopped.
