Dehradun: For the past several days, the growing anger in the promotion and reservation has been increasing gradually. At the same time, an indefinite strike of General-OBC employees started in Uttarakhand. Today, that is, since Monday, 2 March 2020, after the government issued a no work no pay order, now the anger among the employees has increased. The personnel reached the parade ground after locking in many offices. In Dehradun, general OBC employees of the state secretariat and departments and offices have gathered in the parade ground and are demonstrating. The impact of the strike was also seen in the Dehradun District Social Welfare Department. All the officers and employees of the department have joined the strike. Locking was also done at Drinking Water Headquarters in Doon.

According to information received, it has been learned that members of Uttarakhand General OBC Employees Association staged a sit-in at PWD Guest House in Haldwani. Along with Kumaon, the functioning of the government offices of Garhwal is getting affected. At the same time, Uttarakhand General-OBC employees are on strike for not issuing the mandate from the government regarding the reservation ban on promotion near Rudrapur RTO office. The agricultural office in Vikas Bhawan also remained vacant. Lock in the Swajal Accountant's office too.

It is also being noted that to register the protest, the general OBC staff teachers of Pauri, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Almora and Bageshwar will travel to Grasain to encircle the assembly today. There will be a siege of the assembly on March 3. (Protesters registering their presence in Dehradun on the register) The proceedings of the Legislative Assembly may be affected by the indefinite strike of General OBC employees. 80 percent of the employees in the secretariat belong to this class.
