Senior BJP leader and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa debated on the stage with Lingayat religious leader Swami Wachananda. During this, there was a debate between the two on the issue of cabinet dispute. Yeddyurappa was so enraged at the issue that he threatened to resign as Chief Minister. He said that he is not used to power and is ready to step down immediately.

According to media reports that BS Yeddyurappa had come to participate in a program of Lingayat society. During this program, Saint Swami Vedanand of Lingayat Samaj was also present on the stage. Swami Vedhanand said during a speech demanding BJP leader Murugesh Nirani coming from the Lingayat community as a minister. Yeddyurappa got very angry after listening to Swamiji. However, in his speech after this, Yeddyurappa said that after the by-election does not include new MLAs in the cabinet, it was difficult to form a BJP government in Karnataka. Therefore, it was not possible to include some BJP MLAs in the cabinet.

Yeddyurappa himself comes from the Lingayat community. It is such a case of political experts that Yeddyurappa has a stronghold on the 17 percent population of this community. At the same time, out of the 224 seats in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, about 80 are dominated by the Lingayat community. Many times this community has been demanding separation from Hinduism. On the basis of their demands, the Siddaramaiah government sent this proposal to the Central Government for final approval, according to the recommendations of the Justice Nagmohan Das Committee.
