PATNA: Three people were reportedly detained after a group of nearly 50 people, led by Rashtriya Janata Dal ex-MLC Anwar Ahmed's son Asfer Ahmed, created a ruckus inside Pirbahore police station, police said on Saturday.

As per reports, Asfer Ahmed misbehaved with the police personnel and grabbed DSP Ashok Singh's collar and tore his uniform in the incident which took place late on Friday night. Singh said,  We were investigating an incident wherein some police officials were assaulted by local goons of Sabzibagh and Pirbahore area.  Ahmed and his supporters came to the police station and mistreated the cops. When I came out of the office of the SHO, Ahmed also misbehaved with the cops.

Assuring his detention on the basis of suspicion, Singh added, "but he was not ready to listen to me. We also said that if his guilt would not be proven, he would be released. He proceeded to trash me and other cops and created a commotion inside the police station." "We have detained three people in connection with this, and more investigation is ongoing," he said.

Apart from making a scene inside the police station and acting inappropriately with officers, Patna police were unable to charge Ahmed for interfering with government agents in the performance of their duties.

Incidentally, the incident happened hours after Nitish Kumar, the chief minister of Bihar, asserted that he is not in charge of "Jungle Raj," but rather "Janata Ka Raj," and that he has summoned a high-level meeting to examine the state's law and order situation.

Sanjay Jaiswal, the state president of the BJP, questioned Nitish Kumar's assertion of "Janata Ka Raj" in the meantime.
What type of Janata Ka Raj is this if the police are not secure in the police station?" he said.
