PATNA: The Rashtriya Lok Samta Party (RSLP) and the  Bihar unit of BJP  on Wednesday welcomed the Home Ministry's action of banning the Popular Front of India (PFI) and its associates for five years.

Dr. Nikhil Anand, the national general secretary of the BJP OBC Morcha and a spokesman for the party in Bihar, said that the group was responsible for planning terrorist attacks across the nation.

PFI is a group with a similar operating philosophy to the Student Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). The Muslim population were frequently the target of its operators' anti-national and anti-Hindu acts. The young Muslims were brainwashed into becoming fundamentalist Muslims, Dr.  Anand said.

He said the PFI concentrated on the Muslim-heavy regions, particularly those in India's border provinces. They specifically targeted those who frequented mosques and madrasas, which served as safe havens for their nefarious plans.

Unfortunately, these anti-national organisations have always received protection and backing from secular political parties. He said that the PFI charity networks assisted them in disguising their anti-national and religious fundamentalist actions.

Anand said that the PFI's strategy was revealed in Patna and remarked that it was unexpected to learn that 20,000 people had received training in anti-Indian psychology and that connections to cross-border Pakistani as well as Islamic fundamentalist and terrorist organisations had been made.

Nitish Kumar, the chief minister, and the leaders of all ostensibly secular parties "did not speak a word against this hardline organisation." Another BJP spokesperson from Bihar, Arvind Kumar Singh, stated, "The national government has made the correct decision at the appropriate time. PFI participated in terrorist and anti-national activities that polarised society.

Center says, PFI has ties to Int'l terrorism and covert plan to radicalise

Rashtriya Lok Jan Shakti Party (RLSP) leader Sharawan Agrawal said: "PFI is particularly active in Seemanchal region of Bihar and involved in the communal provocation. The sovereignty and unity of Bihar and the entire nation are in danger. We request the arrest of PFI members from the Bihar chief minister as soon as feasible.
