Delhi Capitals (DC) failed to increase their winning streak in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they got defeated bt Mumbai Indians (MI) by 40 runs at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium on Thursday. The visitors were better in all aspects of the game as DC failed to turn up at their home ground once again. As a result, Rohit led team climbed to the second position in the IPL points table with 6 wins from 9 matches. It wasn’t the only thing that was positive for Rohit in the match against DC. The MI captain completed 8000 runs in the T20 cricket during the match.

The Hitman was only 12 runs away from reaching that feat before the DC contest and eventually reached the landmark to join Suresh Raina and Virat Kohli in the list. Rohit has now scored a total of 8018 runs in T20 cricket since starting out his career. Since 2008, Rohit has 4716 runs in 181 matches after playing for Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians in the cash-rich league.
