Rohitashv Gour: A significant shock struck our industry

The current stage is what actor Rohitashv Gour refers to as an overwhelming chapter for the comedy business.

"We are experiencing a time like never before. We were completely shocked by Deepesh Bhan's unexpected death. Following that, Raju ji (Srivastava) passed away. They both made significant contributions to the art, which shocked our industry. Deepesh hasn't been a member of our Bhabi Ji Ghar Par Hai! Team for seven years. Without him, our show would not have been possible. Days went by during which I sensed his presence on the sets, making it difficult for me to accept Deepesh's passing. In such a state of mind, it was difficult to perform in front of the camera and make people laugh. But as they say in our industry, "the show must go on.

Speaking of his friendship with the crew of his longest-running daily, Gour continues, "With busy schedules, we spent the majority of the time on sets filming for almost every day. To remain unaware of our fellow artists or the other members from various departments is difficult, if not impossible.

Regarding his professional life, Gour is happy with how much his fans adore him for his continuing role. He declares, "I had to fight hard to get here after graduating from the National School of Drama in 1986–1989, eventually making it to both the big and small screens. The journey was not simple. However, I still count myself fortunate to be among the actors who performed for Rangmandal, an NSD repertory company, and who were paid as professional theatre artists. In spite of the fact that there isn't a shortage of content at all, Gour continues, "It took time to become a known actor and a recognized face, but I have no regrets because my hard work paid off with Tiwari ji becoming a household name."
