According to Stephen A. Smith of ESPN regarding this matter, Souza's test of corona virus on Friday proved to be positive. After which the match between the two has been canceled, although UFC 249 will still be scheduled at the Woystars Veterans Memorial Arena in Jacksonville, Florida.

According to media reports, Souza reached Florida on Wednesday. After he arrived in Florida, UFC officials said that his family members had come to Corona Test positive. But there were no signs of swelling. Soon after, Souza was also tested and was reportedly isolated. After the news about Souza, his fight against Urea Hall has been stopped.
