Amid rising corona cases in Maharashtra, the government is issuing restriction orders. In the Nashik district, new restrictions are issued to limit people from visiting the markets unnecessarily. People can visit any market but have to pay ₹5 per person for an hour every time.

Nashik Police Commissioner, Deepak Pandey said "We are using a different approach to contain COVID-19 spread in Nashik. We are issuing a ticket of ₹ 5 per person to enter a market area for an hour. It's an attempt to save the city from entering lockdown." According to health officials, Maharashtra registered 27,918 new corona cases and 139 deaths yesterday. Whereas the Nashik district recorded a single-day addition of 3,532 new coronavirus cases and 23 casualties.  In the meanwhile, state Health Minister Rajesh Tope requested people to get themselves tested if any symptoms found. He said "ICU and oxygen beds are filling up fast as people are coming to the hospitals in a bad state because they got themselves tested very late. I appeal to everyone to get tested." The most number of active cases have been found in 10 districts across India. including eight districts in Maharashtra, the most affected state in the country that has seen the highest surge in the number of infections, the health ministry said on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray recently took at a meeting with senior health officials and the COVID task force instructed them to prepare for restrictions similar to lockdown. People are still continuing to violate corona-related rules due to which cases are rising and that is why strict steps like lockdown need to be considered.
