Lucknow: On Thursday (February 16), a major political incident was witnessed in the politics of Uttar Pradesh. This incident is related to the controversy arising out of Shri Ramcharitmanas in the state in the past. In fact, the Samajwadi Party (SP) expelled two women leaders, Roli Tiwari Mishra, and Richa Singh, from the party. Both these leaders had objected to party leader Swami Prasad Maurya's unrestrained comments on Shri Ramcharitmanas and opposed the burning of the book. It is also worth noting here that Swami Prasad Maurya, who has been continuously making objectionable statements regarding Shri Ramcharitmanas, has got the support of party chief Akhilesh Yadav, while those opposing the burning of the book have been thrown out of the party.

In a tweet on Thursday (February 16), the SP informed about the expulsion of Roli Tiwari Mishra and Richa Singh from the party. After the expulsion, both the women leaders have also given a sharp reaction. Describing the SP as anti-women and anti-religion, they have announced to keep raising their voice against the traitors of Ram.  Roli Tiwari Mishra had objected to Swami Prasad's bad words and the burning of Ramcharitmanas. Along with this, questions were also raised on the SP not taking any action in this matter.

Sharing the video of Swami Prasad Maurya's statement on Twitter, these leaders wrote, 'Swami Prasad says that if the Samajwadi Party government is formed, they will get these chaupais of Shriramcharitmanas banned. In 2012, Akhilesh Yadav became the Chief Minister of UP with the slogan Roti Kapda Sasti Ho, Dawai Padhai Muft Ho. Will the SP be able to form the government again on the issue of 'Manas'? In another tweet, she wrote 'I will continue to fight the battle of self-respect for Shri Ramcharitmanas with traitors. I openly challenge those who insult me with deceit, fraud, cunningness, cheating, and conspiracy. If you are a man then fight from the front.'

At the same time, Richa Singh also objected to the controversial statements of Swami Prasad Maurya and tweeted, 'Has the pseudo-socialist Swami Prasad Maurya become bigger than Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia? Dr. Lohia conceptualized the Ramayana fair in 1961. Swami Prasad is continuously insulting Ramcharitmanas. Will the Samajwadi Party now run on the principles of Swami Prasad Maurya instead of Ram Manohar Lohia??' Now, after being expelled from the party, Richa Singh, in a series of tweets, has termed the Samajwadi Party as anti-women and anti-religion. She wrote in tweeting, ''The national president reaches the DGP office for the lunatics who insult women and women who fight for the rights of women are expelled without any reason. The anti-women face of the Samajwadi Party.' In another tweet, Roli Tiwari wrote that Part 3 of the Constitution, the Fundamental Rights page begins with a picture of Lord Rama Lakshmana and Bhagwati Maa Sita. Ram is the soul of India. Even Allama Iqbal has considered him Imam Hind. In such a situation, I stood and will stand with the spiritual and constitutional soul of India.''

On the other hand, Roli Tiwari Mishra, while reacting to being expelled from the party, wrote, 'Thank you respected Akhilesh Yadav ji for this award of 16 years of loyalty. I used to raise my voice against anti-nationals, traitors of Sanatan Dharma, and traitors of Ram, I will continue to do so. Accepting thousands of such expulsions for the honor of the respecting Lord Shri Ram of Sanatan Dharma, Shri Ramcharitmanas. Dharma Rakshati Rakshitah.' At the same time, users are also giving their feedback on this matter on social media. She says that SP President Akhilesh Yadav is respecting Swami Prasad Maurya, who gave a controversial statement on Ramcharitmanas, and is expelling those who oppose the burning of the scriptures from the party.
