Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the renowned actresses in the South Industry. She has various big upcoming films in the pipeline. The actress grabbed all the eyeballs after her sensuous dance number Oo Antava in Allu Arjun starrer Pushpa: The Rise. It became a massive hit. Her dance moves were appreciated by critics the audiences. Even after the massive success of Oo Anatava, Samantha denied a very big offer for Pushpa 2.

Amid the reports that Samantha would play a significant part in Pushpa: The Rule, which also stars Rashmika Mandanna there is another report all over which claimed that the south diva has supposedly declined the offer since she is not ready to undertake special numbers at this time in her career. According to the information, the producers are “working hard” to persuade her. They even said that it would be a  unique song. The makers have also invented a fictional character for Samantha and linked it to the plot in Pushpa 2. However, she refused to do it.

Samantha earlier during the media interaction speaking about the song said “I cannot explain the kind of love people are showering on me. I didn’t expect ‘Oo antava’ to be such a hit pan-India," Samantha said, “Not just Telugu audiences, people around the country have forgotten the other movies I have done, but recognise me for ‘Oo Antava’ now."

On the Professional front, Samantha is all set for her film Shakuntalam. The mythological drama is based on Kalidasa's Abhijnana Shakuntalam. The story revolves around an epic love story of Shakuntala and King Dushyant of Mahabharat. This prestigious project has its music composed by Mani Sharma. The ensemble star cast includes Mohan Babu, Prakash Raj, Madhu Bala, Gautami and many other notable actors. The filming for Shaakuntalam was wrapped up in August 2021. Allu Arjun's daughter, Allu Arha will also be making her Tollywood debut as prince Bharata in Shaakuntalam.
