New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Sambit Patra has been discharged from the hospital. Patra, who was admitted in Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, has been discharged from the hospital late on Sunday night. After his corona test is negative, doctors have discharged him from the hospital.

After being discharged from the hospital, Sambit Patra tweeted, "With the blessings and prayers of all of you, I have returned to my home after recuperating. It will take a little more time to recover completely. I offer my best wishes to all of you for your blessings." He was admitted to the hospital after showing symptoms of the corona. BJP leaders Jyotiraditya Scindia and Tejinder Pal Singh Bagga tweeted and wished him well soon.

Sambit Patra is counted among the fiercest spokespersons of the BJP. In the 2019 election, Sambit Patra also contested from Puri Lok Sabha seat of Odisha, but he lost to BJD candidate Pinaki Mishra. Meanwhile, cases of corona infection in the country have crossed 2 lakh 66 thousand. So far 7 thousand 4 hundred 66 people have lost their lives due to corona. There are more than 1 lakh 29 thousand active cases in the country.
