Mumbai: Rajya Sabha MP and Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut has sent a legal notice to BJP State (Maharashtra) President Chandrakant Patil last Friday for his alleged remarks linking him and his wife Varsha to the PMC bank scam. Under the information received, he has termed it as derogatory. In fact, Sanjay Raut tweeted in which he said, "I have issued a legal notice to Chandrakantdada Patil for his defamatory, baseless and bogus comments against me and my wife. If Chandrakant dada doesn’t give an unconditional apology. I will be taking further legal action and move the honourable court.''

In fact, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has also attached a copy of the notice along with his tweet. On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader's lawyer Vikrant Sabne said in the notice, "The statement made by you in an open letter/reply which claims that our client's wife Varsha S Raut has taken an amount of 50,00,000 from the PMC Bank scam. received, is unreasonable."

At the same time, advocate Vikrant Sabne on behalf of Sanjay Raut asked Chandrakant Patil to clarify the facts in seven days. It is said that failing this, it is said to be compelled to initiate necessary legal action under the appropriate law.
