NEW DELHI: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Indian poet Sant Kabir Das, former Congress President Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to him on Tuesday.
He stated that Kabir Das taught society the values of equality, service, mutual harmony, and love.
Taking to Twitter, Rahul Gandhi wrote: "Tribute to Sant Kabir Das ji on his birth anniversary, who taught the society the value of equality, service, mutual peace, and love."
Every year on the Jyeshtha Purnima Tithi, Sant Kabirdas Jayanti, the legendary poet, saint, and social reformer's birthday, is commemorated. Kabirdas Jayanti falls on Tuesday this year.
Kabir Das was an Indian mystic poet and saint who lived in the 15th century. His poems impacted Hinduism's Bhakti movement, and his verses are included in Sikhism's scripture Guru Granth Sahib.
