Gwalior: After several Congress officials objected to the Centre's letter requesting Covid-appropriate behaviour during the foot march, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia took a jibe at his former party chairman Rahul Gandhi, who is conducting the Bharat Jodo Yatra.

The same party that is voicing concerns about adhering to Covid-appropriate behaviour is the one that is talking about the Bharat Jodo (unite India) concept, said Scindia. Therefore, the party's position on bringing India together is clear.
How can "that party unify India which has not managed to maintain itself unified," Scindia further asked?

On Sunday, the former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee celebrated his birth anniversary in Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior area. The union minister was speaking to the media at the event.

"Good Governance Day is observed on the anniversary of the death of former Prime Minister Vajpayee. Today is significant, Scindia remarked, pointing out that, in contrast to other parties, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has no leader; instead, all members are party members.

During the program, Scindia also helped Madhya Pradesh Energy Minister Pradhuman Singh Tomar restart wearing his 'chappal' which he had abandoned for two months.

Tomar had resolved to remain barefoot protesting for  want of development work in the area. He  said,  "The development works in my area have been completed and I thanked union minister Scindia who made me wear slippers today."
