NEW DELHI: A significant security breach has unfolded within the Lok Sabha, prompting Members of Parliament (MPs) to vacate the premises, as per reports, which indicate that a visitor managed to breach security protocols, leaping into the Lok Sabha chamber from the gallery.

Arvind Sawant mentioned that there was an irritant gas present, compounding the alarming situation.

Dressed in a blue jacket, a young man catapulted from the visitor's gallery and began dashing through the chambers of the House, causing a stir and further exacerbating security concerns.
According to statements provided by Members of Parliament, Arvind Sawant and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, the intruders breached the parliamentary chambers, causing a commotion during the proceedings of the Zero Hour.

MP Arvind Sawant briefed the media outside the Parliament, detailing the audacious act wherein the individuals navigated through the gallery, leaping from bench to bench while releasing an unidentified, pungent yellow gas. Sawant expressed concern over the potential security lapse, highlighting the anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack as an especially sensitive day.

Congress MP Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury corroborated the incident, affirming that the intruders were wielding tear gas canisters. Chowdhury described one person vaulting over the Lok Sabha benches while another was witnessed dangling from the public gallery, dispersing tear gas, causing discomfort among those present.

"This breach of security is a matter of grave concern, particularly on a day commemorating the sacrifice of lives during the 2001 Parliament attack," Chowdhury remarked, underlining the severity of the situation.

Security personnel swiftly apprehended both individuals within the Parliament premises, ushering them away for intensive interrogation. Concurrently, the vigilant watch and ward staff swiftly cordoned off the affected areas, including the gallery and the Lok Sabha chamber, in a bid to contain the situation and ensure the safety of all within the Parliament complex.
