Mumbai: In view of bjp's preparedness for all the upcoming elections, opposition parties have also started strategising. Shiv Sena has now made a statement last Thursday on the same issue. In the statement, he said, "Congress leader Rahul Gandhi should join hands with NCP chief Pawar to take on the ruling BJP at the Centre and bring all opposition parties together." In fact, it is written in the editorial of shiv sena mouthpiece 'Saamna'. It said, "Gandhi regularly attacks the Centre and its policies, but only on Twitter."
Shiv Sena, which shares power with Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Congress in Maharashtra, claimed, "PM Narendra Modi's fever has changed." He also said, "He knows that the situation in the country has gone out of his hands. Despite the anger of the people, the BJP and the government are confident that they are not in danger because of the weak and disgruntled opposition." On the possibility of a third front against the BJP, Sharad Pawar hosted a meeting of leaders of eight opposition parties including Trinamool Congress (TMC), Samajwadi Party, Aam Aadmi Party, Rashtriya Lok Dal and Left parties at his residence in Delhi last Tuesday.
Similarly, the leaders who participated in that discussion had said, "It was a 'non-political' meeting of like-minded persons by the National Forum, which was created by former Finance Minister and TMC Vice President Yashwant Sinha with others." At present, the Shiv Sena editorial says, "Rahul Gandhi should join hands with Pawar to form an alliance with all opposition parties." Shiv Sena also said, "Sharad Pawar can bring all opposition parties together. But then, there is the question of leadership. If we expect the Congress to lead, the party itself is without a national president."
