West Bengal International Master Kaustav Chatterjee has held PSPB's top seed Grandmaster B Adhiban to a draw in the third round of the 58th Senior National Chess Championship.
Playing with white pieces, Adhiban has agreed to draw the game against his west Bengal opponent after 73 moves. In the match, second seed Arjun Arigasy of Telangana defeated Sayantan Das of International Master Railways.
He is jointly topping the charts of Grandmaster Abhijit Gupta of PSPB, D Gukesh of Tamil Nadu, Aryan Chopra of Delhi, Harsha Bharat Koti of Telangana, Ravi Teja of Railways, Utsav Chatterjee of West Bengal and A Vishwas. He has all won all three of them so far. At the same time, Abhijeet has defeated P Shyam Nikhil of Railways. Gukesh, Aryan and Harsha have defeated Samad Shete, Anuj and Harshad S.
