Raipur: After the arrival of 1,115 new cases of corona infection in Chhattisgarh on Sunday, the total number of infected in the state has increased to 29,861. A health officer has said that 7 people have died from Corona, after which the total death toll rose to 269. 485 people were discharged from hospitals in the state on Sunday after being corona free.

He further said that 13,289 patients are currently being treated in the state, while 16,303 have been cured. The officer further said that out of the new cases that came out on Sunday, 518 from Raipur District, 102 in Bilaspur, 82 from Rajnandgaon, 72 from Durg, 58 from Sarguja, 42 from Janjgir-Champa, 35 from Surajpur, 34 from Balodabazar, Raigad 33, Kabirdham 24, Gariaband and Jashpur 13-13 cases have been reported, while the remaining cases have come from other districts. He further informed that in Chhattisgarh, a total of 5,71,177 samples have been investigated so far.

In India, there have been more than 78 thousand cases of corona infection on the second day. With this, the total number of infected people has crossed 36 lakh. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare at 8 am on Monday, 78 thousand 512 cases have been reported in the last 24 hours and 971 people have died. During this period, sixty thousand 868 patients were cured and 8 lakh 46 thousand 278 sample tests were done.
