An official said that the terrorists had come on motorcycles. Sokolo resident Baba Gaku told AFP that there were more than 100 attackers. They told that the firing stopped at seven in the morning.

When the incident was investigated, it was found that the attackers had reached the camp with weapons and vehicles. Armed forces tweeted that soldiers are searching the area after the attack with the help of an army aircraft.
