GURUGRAM: The Gurugram police have arrested 2 managers, 7 customers and 18 women for allegedly running a sex racket from two SPA centres in Gurugram, the police said on Tuesday.
Police said, they acted after a tip off about prostitution being carried out at the SPA centres in Mega City Mall located on Mehrauli-Gurugram Road.
Mabinoor Islam, the manager of Alcor Spa, one client, and three other women from were all apprehended by the DCP (east) special squad that was assembled to investigate the matter.
In a similar vein, the police have also detained 15 prostitutes, including 3 from Thailand, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, and West Bengal. Zabur Islam, the manager of Evanthe Spa, has also been detained.
The owners of the spa centres, Ramesh Kumar and Umesh Arora, were found to have operated a prostitution ring out of the spa, according to the preliminary investigation. The managers of both spas used to charge Rs 2,000 each client in place of this.
All the culprits will be taken in the local court for further investigations.
