Shahid to do a film based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj

Shahid Kapoor, who is known for his excellent image in Bollywood, is shooting for new films nowadays. He has been in discussions ever since he worked in the film 'Kabir Singh'. You may remember that his film proved to be the biggest blockbuster of his career. At the same time, after 'Kabir Singh', he made a waistcoat for the 'Jersey' remake, and the shooting of this film was completed a few days ago. The 'Jersey' remake will be released on Diwali 2021.

In this film, Shahid will be seen playing the role of a middle-aged cricketer. Now after finishing the film 'Jersey', Shahid Kapoor has started shooting the upcoming series of Raj & DK. With this series, he is ready to step on OTT. The shooting of this series has started in the past. Reports have surfaced that Shahid Kapoor has spoken to Ashwin Varde, the producer of the film 'Kabir Singh', for a big-budget drama which will be based on the life of Chhatrapati Shivaji.

A source associated with the film says, 'Ashwin Varde has joined hands with the big production house Lyca Productions of South, which will make many big-budget films in Bollywood.' Ashwin Varde has spoken to Shahid for a film based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, which is going to be made under this deal. He further added, "Shahid Kapoor has liked the idea of the film and he has said yes for the role." However, Shahid Kapoor ventured into the period drama genre with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Padmavat' and the film based on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj will be the second-period drama in his career.
