Los Angeles: Singer Shania Twain revealed that she is "comfortable in her own skin" and found the entire experience to be "very liberating" on the cover of her most recent single, "Waking Up Dreaming," back in September. "This is how I'm speaking the truth. This is how I'm expressing my confidence that I'm at ease in my own flesh. Whatever you wear, as long as you're wearing it with confidence, is fashionable in my opinion," she told PEOPLE magazine, reports aceshowbiz.com.

"I don't need to conceal myself behind my clothes since I am a woman in my late 50s. I am at a loss for words when it comes to how fantastic nude shooting felt. As a woman who is well into menopause, I was simply so confident in my new figure. I don't even feel anything; I just feel alright about it. It's quite empowering." The "Man! I Feel Like a Woman" hitmaker also broke barriers with her debut music video "What Made You Say That," which featured her braless and with her midriff on display in 1993.

However, as she "grew older," she began to feel more self-conscious. She  said, "I gave up the bra from the very first video, which was the beginning. However, I was much firmer back then, so as I grew older, I began to experience a different pressure that said, "Well, your breasts aren't as full as they used to." Your skin is looser than it was previously.

Perhaps you ought to start concealing it a bit more." But as soon as she sensed her self-assurance "regressing," she said, "Frig that," and wanted to accept her shape. As she transitioned from her taut, 20s and 30s persona to her menopausal body, she said, "I am enjoying my body as it changes, as I should have from my youth to my teens." "I won't hold back about anything. I want to approach it courageously, and I want to convey that boldness to the piece of art I am directing."
