Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], Dec 16 (NT): Shiv Sena MLA Prakash Abitkar has alleged that he was named as a beneficiary of the farm loan waiver in the Kolhapur District Central Cooperative Bank, even though he had not given application for it. He has received a loan waiver of Rs 25,000 from the bank.

This report has appeared just a day after Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis declared the scheme is being executed smoothly. CM told the state legislative assembly on Thursday that in past his government had done some mistakes in implementing the Rs 34,022-crore farm loan waiver scheme, but now all errors are fixed.

An MLA whose name is Abitkar, from Radhanagari in Kolhapur district, has benefited by the loan waiver scheme of Maharashtra Government for drought-affected farmers.

The Shiv Sena MLA has shed light on the issue citing faulty execution of the loan waiver scheme and recommended an investigation into this flawed inclusion.
