On Friday, days after MH CM Devendra Fadnavis blamed the Shiv Sena of betrayal, the latter entitled the BJP as a "mad murderer" that is "stabbing anyone coming in its way".
According to the reports from News 18, the Shiv Sena also banged on the name of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Shive Sena slammed CM Yogi for not removing his footwear while garlanding the photo of Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji during a public rally in Virar. The rally took place two days back for Palghar Lok Sabha by-poll scheduled to be held on May 28.
In an editorial in its mouthpiece Saamana, Shiv Sena said that the hypocrite chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, who toured Palghar for poll campaign, said the Sena has hurt the BJP on the back. This shows they have not understood the history of Chhatrapati (Shivaji).
They further said while alleging that today, the BJP has become a 'mad murderer' that stabs anybody coming in its way.
After this recently, Fadnavis had said that the Sena had disappointed the BJP by covering the son of late MP Chintaman Wanaga in the Palghar Lok Sabha by-poll.
In answer to this, reports News 18, the Sena said the BJP's act of giving candidature to former Congress leader Rajendra Gavit for Palghar by-poll and speaking against the Sena was actually back-stabbing.
As per the reports, the Shiv Sena said it has chosen to fight all the elections solely, be it Palghar bypoll or the recently-held Legislative Council elections.
During an interview, Shiv Sena asked, "Yogi comes here and gives lessons on Chhatrapati. However, while garlanding his statue, he does not even remove his chappals. This is an insult to Chhatrapati Shivaji. What does the BJP have to say on this,"
It claimed that the BJP was destroying the image of Maharashtra, which is known for its "reliability and integrity".
