Jammu: Once again a big change was seen in the Kashmir Valley on Tuesday. After 35 years, a procession has also been taken out from the Shiva temple in Indira Nagar on Dussehra. In which approximately 500 people participated. Chants of Jai Shri Ram kept echoing on the way. Finally the procession reached Sher-e-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, where Ravana Dahan was also performed. Rajiv Rai Bhatnagar, advisor to Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, was present on this occasion. Let us tell you that Iltija Mufti, daughter of former CM Mehbooba Mufti, also became a witness to this historic moment.

Organizer of Dussehra festival, Sanjay Tikku has said that people of all religions participated in the Dussehra festival. There were also a large number of small children. Reports say that he participated in the procession with enthusiasm and was seen shouting praises of Lord Ram. He has said that he has been organizing Dussehra continuously from 2007 to 2017. The Shobha Yatra has been taken out again after 35 years. This year on Dussehra, the effigy of Ravana was made 40 feet high, while the two other effigies were 30 feet high. These were burnt after sunset.
