Gangtok:Sikkim has been completely cut off from the rest of the country due to landslides (Landslides) due to heavy rains. In fact, Sikkim is receiving heavy rain these days, completely blocking NH-10. Officials said border roads organisation (BRO) personnel are busy cleaning the highway in a 29-mile area in Kalimpong (Kalimpong) in West Bengal, which has been blocked due to heavy rains.

Officials said the overnight landslide has spread debris to about 70 meters and will take some time to clear the road for one-way traffic. He said that trains are currently being diverted from an alternate narrow and long road, which passes through the hills of Darjeeling. This area is a troublesome place for National Highway 10, considered the lifeline of the state. The area is 60 km from Rangpo, a town bordering Sikkim. The highway has been blocked due to landslides at least four times so far this monsoon.

In Himachal Pradesh's capital Shimla, the situation is similar to that of Sikkim. Here too, heavy rains have once again caused landslides, which has completely blocked NH-5. There has been a landslide in Jori in Shimla. In the video below, one can clearly see the speed at which the leaves are slipping down. It had also caused a massive landslide on the Vikasnar-Panthaghati road near Devnagar 3 days ago and three cars parked on the roadside were shattered.
