Sivakarthikeyan and Nayanthara starrer Mr. Local is all set to hit the theater on 17th of May. Mr. Local will be Sivakarthikeyan’s 13th film and second one with Nayanthara. The two had already teamed up for Velaikkaran, which became a huge hit. Sivakarthikeyan said that he was rather disappointed that a successful and talent star like Nayanthara got lesser screen time than him.

To make up for it, he has promised the Lady superstar fans that Nayanthara will not only have an equal screen space in this one but also a stronger role. He also added that he is grateful to have worked with her again.

Sivakarthikeyan told fans that Mr. Local is an all-out entertainment and there is no special message that they are planning to give fans through the film. He said, “Simple and jolly film with no message just a clean fun filled summer, colourful entertainer. Casting is crucial with a battery of comedians. Enjoy.” The film is set to release on May 17, 2019 a day after Vijay Sethupathi’s Sindhubaadh. The trailer of the film had already created quite the stir on social media.

The trailer was proof enough that we are in for a hilarious ride with a dash of romance. Robo Shankar and Yogi Babu will also be playing important roles in the film with Radhika Sarathkumar playing Sivakarthikeyan’s mother.
